The current strike action by members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) ends in the early hours of Wednesday 10th October. Royal Mail regrets the impact of the latest strike and apologises to its customers for the disruption this has caused. After lengthy negotiation we are very disappointed that the CWU has announced more strikes for the week commencing Monday 15th October. We are currently assessing the impact that this will have on services, and will communicate this as soon as possible.
All UK orders will now be sent by courier where possible to avoid delays. We can not take any more orders for shipment in October as the strike has delayed materials as well as the orders we ship out.
November will be out last ‘trading month’ of 2007 as we like to give ourselves most of December off and also we shall need to be processing orders. Any orders taken in December, will be processed between Christmas and New year (we have two weeks off) and will not be guaranteed a Christmas or New Years delivery. The postal strikes might continue until Christmas but we will now ship all UK orders paying £5 shipping by courier and absorb the additional cost. International orders will still be shipped by royal mail.
